Real Madrid will face Paris Saint-Germain ( PSG ) in the second leg of the Champions League last 16, Thursday (10/3). The following is the predicted line-up for the two teams.
PSG came to the Santiago Bernabeu with the provision of a 1-0 advantage. However, this narrow victory has not given a big guarantee that they can qualify for the quarter-finals.
Madrid will certainly be motivated to avenge the defeat in the first leg as well as win a ticket to the last eight.
Thibaut Courtois, who performed well in the first leg, will again be trusted to guard the goal. Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, David Alaba, and Nacho Fernandez will fortify Madrid’s goal. Ferland Mendy was forced to miss due to card accumulation.
In midfield Carlo Ancelotti’s main focus ahead of this match. Los Blancos can’t play Casemiro and Toni Kroos isn’t really fit yet.
Ancelotti is believed to be playing Kroos while monitoring his performance on the pitch. Federico Valverde will be another player who accompanies Luka Modric in midfield.
Up front, Marco Asensio with Karim Benzema and Vincius Jr. will be the foundation to pound the PSG defense.
Meanwhile at PSG, Sergio Ramos will not play against his former club.
Another problem for PSG is that Kylian Mbappe also suffered an injury during training although the injury is believed to be not a serious injury.
Mbappe will still be played with Lionel Messi and Neymar on the front lines.
While in midfield, Marco Verratti will again lead PSG to win the duel for the ball against Los Blancos.
At the back, Gianluigi Donnarumma will be a figure who is believed to be able to repel the attack of Real Madrid.
