Arsenal hope to bring in new players in the January 2022 transfer market. This is to widen their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Arsenal failed to win in their last match in the Premier League. Mikel Arteta’s troops played a goalless draw against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, Sunday (23/1/2022) night WIB.

This result leaves Arsenal in sixth place in the Premier League standings. The North London club collected 36 points from 21 matches.

However, the Gunners still have one game in hand.

Mikel Arteta has a target to bring Arsenal to finish in the top four at the end of the season. To do so, the Spanish manager may need additional players in the January transfer window.

Here are five players who could help Arsenal finish in the top four at the end of the season.

Frank Kessie
Mikel Arteta admits that currently Arsenal need an additional midfielder. Franck Kessie could be a good option to strengthen the Gunners’ midfield sector.

Kessie is one of the best midfielders in Serie A. The Ivory Coast international has shown solid performances with AC Milan even though his contract expires next summer.

The former Atalanta player does not seem interested in signing a new contract at the San Siro. Milan can sell him in the January transfer window if they don’t want to lose the player for free at the end of the season.

Alexander Isaac
Arsenal have failed to get Dusan Vlahovic who will join Juventus. However, the Gunners can catch Alexander Isak to increase the strength of his attack line.

Isak is the main striker for Real Sociedad. The Swedish player has scored 41 goals in the last three seasons for Los Txuri-Urdin.

Considering that Isak is still quite young, 22 years old, he can be a long-term investment for Arsenal. However, the Gunners reportedly have to compete with Real Madrid for the player.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Calvert-Lewin is the main striker for Everton. The English striker showed a very impressive performance when coached by Carlo Ancelotti.

In this season, Calvert-Lewin can be said to have not been too sharp in the Everton squad. He has only scored three goals in six matches due to a serious injury.

It is possible that Calvert-Lewin will leave Everton in January. Because, Everton’s condition is not good because they have just been left by the coach Rafael Benitez.

Aaron Ramsey
Aaron Ramsey is no longer used at Juventus. The Welsh midfielder was not included in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans and had to leave the club immediately.

Ramsey had previously played for Arsenal for a long time. The Gunners can repatriate Ramsey to add creativity to the game under Mikel Arteta.

Ramsey has indeed struggled to get regular playing minutes since joining Juventus in 2019. This season he has only played a total of 112 minutes.

Bruno Guimaraes
Bruno Guimaraes has played for Lyon since January 2020. Lyon signed him from Athletico Paranaense for around 20 million euros and signed him for four and a half years.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been playing regularly for Lyon. He has made 25 appearances in all competitions scoring six assists.

Apart from Newcastle, the Brazilian has been linked with a move to Arsenal this month. He could be a good addition to strengthen the Gunners midfield.
