Kim Hee Won is one of South Korea’s famous female directors. To date, director Kim has directed several dramas that were successful during their broadcast. His latest project is a drama titled Little Women , starring Kim Go Eun to Nam Ji Hyun.

Various genres, here are eight Korean dramas by director Kim Hee Won. Which ones have you watched?

1. Little Women (2022)
Little Women is a modern adaptation of the novel of the same name by Louisa May Alcott. Scheduled to air in August 2022, this drama tells the story of three sisters who grow up in poverty.

The three are Oh In Joo (KIm Go Eun) who is the eldest child, Oh In Kyung (Nam Ji Hyun) the middle child, and the youngest Oh In Hye (Park Ji Hoo). The intrigue in this story will be even more interesting when they are involved in a major incident and face the richest family in South Korea.

2. Warm and Cozy (2015)
Warm and Cozy is a romantic-comedy drama that tells the story of young people who leave the city and try to live a new life on Jeju Island. Baek Gun Woo (Yoo Yeon Seok) is a romantic guy who opens a restaurant on Jeju Island called Agreeably Warm.

Meanwhile, when Lee Jung Joo (Kang So Ra)’s position as an employee at a clothing company is shaky, she decides to buy an apartment. When he wanted to buy it, Lee Jung Joo had to rush to Jeju Island to look for his sister and instead found his lover on his honeymoon. Baek Gun Woo then appeared and took Lee Jung Joo to his restaurant.

3. Glamorous Temptation (2015—2016)
Glamorous Temptation tells the story of Shin Eun Soo (Choi Kang Hee), a woman who is in debt and cannot pay off after her marriage. Through a series of means, he has joined the path of one percent of the richest people in Korea.

He also deliberately made efforts to expose their mistakes and hypocrisy. Shin Eun Soo also tries to express his unlimited greed and lust for the power of these top circles.

4. Golden Pouch (2016—2017)
Golden Pouch is a daily drama from MBC station that airs with a total of 122 episodes with a duration of 30 minutes per episode. Airing from November 2016—June 2017, this drama stars a row of artists, such as Jin Yi Han, Ryu Hyo Young, to Ahn Nae Sang.

Golden Pouch tells the story of Han Suk Hoon (Jin Yi Han) who as a child was adopted by a family in the United States. When he was an adult, he returned to South Korea and became a skilled surgeon. But due to a tragedy, he ends up becoming a dumpling master.

5. Money Flower (2017)
Money Flower is about a group of people who think they control money, but they are the opposite. This drama focuses on Kang Pil Joo (Jang Hyuk) and his relationships with the people around him.

Kang Pil Joo is the managing director of the legal team at Chungah Group. Despite being raised in an orphanage, his intelligence and performance are exemplary. He kept his true identity a secret from the founding family of the Chungah Group and served them obediently.

6. The Crowned Clown (2019)
The Crowned Clown is a sageuk drama set in the Joseon era. At that time, Joseon was in chaos because of the rebellion and power struggle around King Lee Hun (Yeo Jin Goo).

To avoid being killed, a clown named Ha Sun (Yeo Jin Goo) is brought to the palace to replace King Lee Hun. Because, Ha Sun looks identical to King Lee Hun. But when he replaces King Lee Hun, Ha Sun falls in love with Queen Yoo So Woon (Lee Se Young).

7. Vincenzo (2021)
Vincenzo is a drama that follows the story of Park Joo Hyeong who was adopted and brought to Italy when he was eight years old. He grows up to become a lawyer and has the name Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong Ki).

Vincenzo also worked for the Mafia as a consigliere . Because of the war between mafia groups, he fled to South Korea.

Meanwhile, Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Bin) is a lawyer who does everything he can to win cases. Vincenzo, who enforced justice in his own way, was finally involved in collaborating with Hong Cha Young.

8. Soundtrack #1 (2022)
Soundtrack #1 is a four-episode drama that follows the story of Han Sun Woo (Park Hyung Sik), a warm-hearted rookie photographer. He has been friends with Lee Eun Soo (Han So He) for 20 years. Lee Eun Soo is a woman with an honest and bright personality who works as a song lyricist.

For some reason, the two started living together at Lee Eun Soo’s house for 2 weeks. Their friendship developed until they finally liked each other.
