8. Detective Pikachu

Detective Pikachu is a film based on the Pokemon game and anime of the same name. After Tim learns that his father, Harry, died mysteriously in an accident, he meets a talking Pikachu. The Pikachu turns out to be Harry’s partner.

Chaos breaks out when Tim and Pikachu team up to try to investigate Harry’s death. They finally discover a sinister plot involving Mewtwo and obtain Pokemon with the help of dangerous technology. Even though the film was dark, it was quite popular when it was released.

7. Ace Attorney

As a surprise and delight to Ace Attorney fans , this live-action film adaptation was released in 2012. This adaptation follows Phoenix Wright as he discusses a number of cases after winning his first case. The cases he discussed included the case when Miles Edgeworth was accused of murdering lawyer Roger Hammond.

The film received the reviews were generally good reviews from critics. They praised the acting of the stars.

6. Rurouni Kenshin

An Assassination Classroom film adaptation entitled Assassination Classroom: Graduation is loved by fans. This film not only covers some of the many assassination attempts that have been made in the anime series, but also reveals the backstory of Koro-Sensei and his bonds with his students. Even though this film provides a huge spoiler for fans of the franchise, they still enjoy watching it. The film was only released in Japan in 2016.
