AC Milan experienced bitter results in Europe. Still consistent in Italy, the Rossoneri actually stagnate in the Champions League.
Recently, Milan humiliated Chelsea again. After losing 0-3 at Stamford Bridge, Stefano Pioli’s squad surrendered 0-2 at the San Siro
This is an anomaly for Olivier Giroud et al. AC Milan is so far on the track in the Italian League, although the competition is very tight.
In Serie A, Milan have collected 6 wins, 2 draws and only one loss. With 20 points, Milan is still in fifth place for a while. However, Milan won two consecutive league wins, including crippling Juventus at home.
Of the four matches, AC Milan have only won once against Dinamo Zagreb on matchday 2 of the group E phase.
AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli remains hopeful.
“It’s a negative result, but our fate remains in our hands. If we want to be competitive in Europe too, we have to win the next two games, and we have every chance to do that.”
“We really have to believe in our chances of qualifying. We have to go to Zagreb to play our football, then welcome Salzburg here.” (Clean Sweep 2 Remaining) Chelsea are top of the group with 7 points, followed by RB Salzburg with 6 points, Milan and Dinamo Zagreb with 4 points.
“There are still two games to go, everything is still to be played. We have to win, that’s all we can do, without looking at penalties and red cards. It’s still in our hands,” said AC Milan drummer Sandro Tonali.
Disappointment not playing like Milan in the first game, anger at tonight’s decision, we have to turn everything into positive energy for the next two games.”
