Barcelona won 2-0 over the New York Red Bulls in a pre-season match at the Red Bull Arena, New Jersey, Sunday (31/7/2022) morning WIB.

New Jersey – Barcelona won a two-goal win without replying to the New York Red Bulls in the pre-season match, Sunday (31/7/2022) morning WIB. The result extends Barca’s unbeaten record in pre-season.

In the previous four matches, Los Cules managed to silence Inter Miami with a score of 6-0 and beat Real Madrid 1-0. In addition, Barcelona drew 1-1 with Olot and were held by Juventus with a score of 2-2.

Barca still leaves one other pre-season match, namely against Pumas UNAM at the Joan Gamper Trofeo, August 8, 2022.

Playing at the Red Bull Arena, Barcelona immediately stepped on the gas since the early minutes. However, the Blaugrana’s efforts to score a goal always ran aground at the feet of the New York Red Bulls defender.

Barcelona were finally able to break the deadlock in the 40th minute through the action of Ousmane Dembele. The ball from Dembele’s right foot hit the New York goal. Until the break, the score was 1-0 for Barca’s advantage to survive.

Entering the second interval, Barcelona still controlled the game. But again, Los Cules’ efforts to double their lead have yet to bear fruit.

In the 82nd minute, the New York Red Bulls had to play with 10 men after Daniel Edelman was given a red card. Edelman was sent off for a foul on Pablo Torre.

Three minutes before normal time ended, Barcelona was finally able to score the second goal. The ball from Memphis Depay’s right foot could not be driven by the goalkeeper.

Until the game ended, the score was 2-0 for Barca’s victory to survive.
