Sci-fi genre films are often used to predict the future of humans. Not only optimistic, filmmakers of this genre can also voice their concerns by describing a bleak and tense future.

Dystopia is a sci-fi sub-genre that explores the unexpected consequences of science to the political order. The latest film to lift this genre is Dune 2021 directed by Dennis Villeneuve, the famous director behind Arrival and Blade Runner: 2049. .

Dune 1984 tells the story of Paul Atreides (Kyle McLachlan), the heir to a space empire who is caught in a power struggle conflict. The plot of the film centers on a mysterious substance called the spice .
