Chris Evans was not confident when asked to be Captain America.

Chris Evans entered the ranks of Hollywood’s top actors after playing the character Captain America or Steve Rogers in the Marvel universe. It turned out that he almost didn’t join the Avengers in those films.
In the book The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is revealed that the actor almost didn’t get the role. That’s because Marvel boss Kevin Feige and producer Stephen Broussard chose Sebastian Stan for the role.

But Joel Silver wanted to duet him with Chris Evans and asked the two to do the casting together for the film Captain America: The First Avengers.

Even so, Chris Evans is still not confident and feels that the role is not suitable for him because it is too big. Then came the name of Robert Downey Jr. who convinced the Knives Out star to audition.

Finally he accepted the offer and became one of the best choices in his life.

Meanwhile Sebastian Stan certainly failed to get the role of Captain America and was given the role of Bucky Barns. Although a bit disappointed he still thinks positively by feeling that this is the best role for him.

This is also proven by him who is still active at Marvel with a number of series to date where Chris Evans finally decided to retire from Marvel. Stan could also appear on the big screen with his fellow Avengers in the future
