Christopher Ammanuel and Dylan Arnold have landed the lead roles along with Tyrese Gibson, Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood in Ariel Vromen’s feature thriller, ‘Clash.’
Along with Dylan Arnold, Christopher Ammanuel also landed a starring role in the historic film, opposite Tyrese Gibson, Ray Liotta, and Scott Eastwood.
‘Clash’ formerly known as ‘April 29, 1992’, was written by Sascha Penn. The film is set in the first night of the LA uprising in 1992.
The incident came as four LAPD officers were found not guilty of using their publicly known powers in a videotape of Rodney King’s beating and arrest.
This film will tell the story of a custodian who brings his son to work. Unfortunately, they are caught in the middle of a massive theft carried out due to the riots.
Ammanuel will play 16-year-old student Antoine King, who returns home after school and finds his neighborhood engulfed in flames when people protest against Rodney King’s court ruling.
Like the previous title, this film is a reference that shows the events on the first day of rioting after Rodney King’s verdict. The LA riots that year were among the bloodiest in American history and their legacy permeated the national realities of Americans.
The release of four white police officers despite evidence pointing to their wrongdoing brought great reverberation and outrage.
‘Clash’ will also take us to cases that often occur in America, such as the shooting of Michael Brown and the tragic death of Freddie Gray in years past.
‘Clash’ seems to give a slap and clarity to acts of racism that are often carried out by white police officers.
Maurice Fadida of Kodiak Pictures will produce ‘Clash’ with Ariel Vromen. Adam Kolbrenner and Sascha Penn will also produce with Andreas Rommel under Trident Films.
Christopher Ammanuel is best known for his role in several seasons of ‘Black Lightning’ of The CW and his recurring role in Fox’s ‘Shots Fired’. Meanwhile, Dylan Arnold is famous for his roles in several episodes of the Netflix series, ‘You’, and the latest horror film ‘Halloween Kills.
