Chelsea held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in the 21st week of the 2021/2022 Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, Sunday (02/01/2022) night WIB.
Chelsea immediately tried to press Liverpool first. They dominate possession.
But in the fifth minute Liverpool got a golden opportunity. Mane stole the ball in the middle of the field and counterattacked from the left. He released a flat cross into the middle of the penalty box and was struck by Salah. But the ball can still be pushed over by Mendy.
The seventh minute, Chelsea’s turn to get a golden opportunity. Trent tried to throw the ball in the penalty box but the ball was blocked by Havertz and bounced towards Pulisic who was standing free in the middle of the penalty box. But he then failed to pass the obstacle Kelleher.
The ninth minute, Liverpool managed to score a goal. Jota released a pass to the front of the penalty box and tried to be blocked with a header by Chalobah. Chelsea replied in the 62nd minute through Christian Pulisic’s efforts. Lucky Caoimhin Kelleher was able to ward off the hard kick of the American player.

The 2-2 score lasted until dispersal. Liverpool, who led by two goals, had to settle for sharing points with Chelsea.
