AC Milan has officially extended the duration of Zlatan Ibrahimovic ‘s work until 30 June 2023 on Monday (18/7/2022). With the new contract, Ibra will continue to defend Milan until he is 41 years old.

Since returning to AC Milan in December 2019, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been one of the most important players. With a winning mentality and leadership spirit, Ibrahimovic is respected by the Rossoneri’s young players.

He also helped bring AC Milan to the Serie A trophy last season. Although not always the first choice, Ibra is able to pump up the fighting spirit of his teammates on the field.

For AC Milan , the Serie A trophy last season was the 19th league title. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won the Scudetto twice with Milan.

The Future Is Questioned
However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic ‘s future with AC Milan is a question mark. The reason is, the duration of the former Barcelona striker’s work in Milan has ended on June 30, 2023.

In addition, Ibrahimovic will also be out of action until early next year after undergoing surgery on his knee. Even so, AC Milan is reportedly going to keep the striker.

Milan plans to give the former Sweden captain a half-season contract.
