Italian MotoGP FP3 Results: Fastest Pecco Bagnaia, Ducati Still Dominates

Ducati Lenovo Team racer, Francesco Bagnaia , managed to record the fastest time in the third free practice session (FP3) of the Italian MotoGP at the Mugello Circuit on Saturday (28/5/2022).

The Italian racer was followed by Aprilia Racing’s Aleix Espargaro in second place and Mooney VR46 Racing Team’s driver, Luca Marini, in third.

Meanwhile, the fourth and fifth positions were occupied by Prima Pramac Racing’s Johann Zarco and another Mooney VR46 Racing Team racer, Marco Bezzecchi.

The Italian MotoGP qualification round for 2022 was dominated by the host racers. Three Italian riders will start the race from the front row.

Gresini Ducati racer, Fabio Di Giannantonio managed to become the fastest at the Mugello Circuit, Italy on Saturday (28/5/2022).

Di Giannantonio recorded a time of 1 minute 46.156 seconds to take pole position in the Italian MotoGP .

The 23-year-old rider was able to outperform the Mooney VR46 Ducati duo, Marco Bezzecchi in second place and Luca Marani in third.

The three were followed by Pramac Ducati’s Johann Zarco in fourth place and Lenovo’s Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia in fifth.

Meanwhile, the leader of the MotoGP standings, Fabio Quartararo, is in fifth place, followed by his closest competitor, Aleix Espargaro, in seventh.

Terrible incident occurred in the qualifying round. Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez crashed because he bounced off his motorbike.

A number of parts of Marquez’s motorbike even broke and caught fire. As a result, the six-time MotoGP world champion was unable to continue qualifying and had to start from 12th position.
