Chelsea must fight to get tickets to the FA Cup quarter-finals . Against Luton Town in the fifth round match on Thursday (3/3/2022), Thomas Tuchel ‘s club won with a narrow score of 3-2.

Luton sent the Kenilworth Road crowd cheering just two minutes into the game!

Luton’s surprise made Chelsa slap. They also launched a barrage of attacks. The result was seen in the 27th minute, when Saul Niguez managed to score the equalizer by utilizing Timo Werner’s assist. 1-1.

Harry Cornick was able to get past the offside trap and scored using a brilliant assist from Carlos Gomes. Luton again winning 2-1.

The remaining minutes failed to be used by the Blues to equalize again. In the end, the first half ended with Luton Town winning 2-1.

Second round
Two minutes after the game restarted, Chelsea got a golden opportunity that came from the feet of Saul. The Spaniard fired a hard shot, but the ball could still be stopped by Harry Isted.

In the 55th minute, it was Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s turn to threaten. The midfielder caught the ball from a corner with his head but his shot went wide of the Luton Town goal.

Chelsea continued to attack after attack. The result was seen in the 68th minute. Loftus-Cheek’s fantastic pass helped Werner break through Luton’s fort and hit Isted’s goal, and the score was back at 2-2.

Chelsea managed to reverse the position! Again there is Timo Werner’s role there. In the 78th minute, Werner provided a pass that was put to good use by Romelu Lukaku to score Chelsea’s third goal of the game. 3-2!

Luton Town tries to equalize. But the Chelsea defender has learned from his mistakes and is not letting his goal concede again. The score lasts until the referee ends the match and Chelsea is declared the winner!
