Some time ago, Warner Bros. had stated that they would completely overhaul the DC Extended Universe. This in the end directly affects the schedule of various upcoming DC live action projects. One of the most noticeable is the determination of the number of DCEU movies in 2022, from four to three. And one of the three movies is Black Adam which involves Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a star.

The movie, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, focuses on a DC anti-hero and king of Kahndaq named Teth-Adam. Besides Black Adam, this movie will also feature members of the Justice Society of America from DC Comics. The JSA superheroes who will appear in the movie are Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan).

Black Adam Trailer Release Schedule
With his debut as a DC character, Johnson himself is also quite vocal in conveying updates regarding his movie through his social media. And now, via his personal Instagram account , Johnson has just revealed the release schedule for his DCEU movie trailer. In addition to writing a caption about “Black Adam’s throne,” he also stated that the trailer will be released on June 8th.

“Many Black Adam fans know how important and powerful this [Black Adam] throne is,” Johnson wrote in English. “I have promised that I will not sit [on the set], until we actually do the Black Adam scene that manages to earn his right to sit in his shrine. We’ve finally completed that iconic moment. The trailer for the movie is out June 8th.”

Johnson has said many times that he is very happy and proud to be able to play the character of Adam on the big screen. And he also felt that his character’s presence could change the power hierarchy in the DC Universe. Getting impatient right? We’ll see how epic the character is in the trailer. As for the movie’s own release schedule, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on October 21, 2022.
