Alessandro Nivola will star alongside the rest of the cast.

After yesterday that Ariana DeBose was announced as Calypso, this time it’s Alessandro Nivola’s turn to take part in ‘Kraven the Hunter’

Another rising star, ‘Kraven the Hunter’ expands its potential to become the most awaited film. Reporting from the Deadline page, Alessandro Nivola will reportedly play the villain in the film. Even so, Sony has not provided further statements about which character he will play.

After yesterday Sony announced the cast of ‘Kraven the Hunter,’ which will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson (‘Kick Ass’) as the main star, Nivola will also be joined by other cast members, such as ‘The White Lotus’ star, Fred Hechinger, who will become Kraven’s brother.

Additionally, SAG Awards winner and ‘West Side Story’ star, BAFTA-nominated Ariana Debose as Calypso, Kraven’s lover; and Academy Award winner Russell Crowe (‘Gladiator’), whose role is also kept secret.

Unlike Spider-Man’s foes who have appeared in the MCU or have had their own films, Kraven finally has that opportunity.

Fans are of the opinion that the film ‘Kraven the Hunter’ will be the basis of the story of the next franchise, such as Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) in ‘Venom’ and ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage.’ Another Spider-Man villain who has also finally gotten his own attention is Morbius (Jared Leto), which will hit theaters on April 1.

Previously, Nivola has played in several well-known films such as ‘Face/Off’, ‘Jurassic Park III’, and ‘Selma.’ Most recently, he also played Dickie Moltisanti in the prequel film ‘The Sopranos’, namely ‘The Many Saints of Newark.’

Details of the Kraven the Hunter plot are still being kept under wraps by Sony, but the film is a sign that the studio is moving quickly to create its own MCU.

‘Kraven the Hunter’ will be directed by Academy Award nominee JC Chandor, who previously directed films such as ‘All is Lost’, ‘A Most Violent Year’, and ‘Margin Call’. The screenplay for ‘Kraven the Hunter’ will be written by Art Marcum (‘Iron Man’), Richard Wenk (‘Jack Reacher: Never Go Back’), and Matt Holloway (‘Uncharted’).
