The manager of Chelsea , Thomas Tuchel mengacungi performance thumb Lewis Hall . He considered the young Chelsea defender to appear slick in his debut match.

Chelsea host Chesterfield this morning in the FA Cup third round match. In that match, Thomas Tuchel made a number of rotations, one of which was to play a young defender named Lewis Hall.

Paired with Malang Sarr and Andreas Christensen, the young defender looked impressive. He provided the assist for Romelu Lukaku’s goal and defended solidly in this match.

Tuchel said he was satisfied to see the defender perform well in this match. “He [Hall] deserved to be a starter today,” Tuchel told Chelsea’s official website.

Must Rotation
Tuchel admits that Chelsea’s main defenders are currently experiencing fatigue. As a result he had to rotate in their defense.

He said the stock of Chelsea defenders is currently quite limited. As a result Hall can get a chance to play in this match.

“We need to give Toni [Rudiger] rest, Azpi and Marcos in our defence. We only have three defenders left and he [Hall] is one of them.”

Worth Giving a Chance
Tuchel himself revealed the reason why it was Hall who was promoted to the first team. He says the defender is one of the most outstanding young players in Chelsea’s youth team so he deserves to be given a chance.

“In general it was his form that got him into the first team. He has a good attitude in training and he shows good quality.”

“He’s also very calm, and he trains very well in our training sessions. So he deserves to be a starter,” he said.

Helped by Lewis, Chelsea managed to overcome the resistance of Chesterfield. Even Chelsea can be said to win comfortably in this match.

The Blues managed to beat the fifth division team with a score of 5-1. So that they ensure themselves pass to the next phase.
