It’s been a long time since I wrote a film review here. Understandably, a lot of schoolwork and friends, plus I haven’t watched a movie at the cinema yet. This is the first film I’ve seen after a few months. Yes, as busy as high school students in Serpong. Lots of work, lots of things to take care of, lots of articles to write… the last part isn’t really that tiring, it’s just that it doesn’t stop you from enjoying your entertainment, even if it’s only for a short time. Hufft.
Okay, let’s just get started.
Three years have passed since Isla Nublar was destroyed. Even so, the dinosaurs that still survive there are in danger, because it is predicted that the volcano there will erupt soon. Besides that, many people are still questioning what to do with the remaining dinosaurs on Isla Nublar. Here comes the character of Claire Dearing, who is now the leader of a group to protect the dinosaurs. To save the dinosaurs, Claire invites Owen Grady to return as her partner to the island of Isla Nublar, in addition to her two other friends, Zia Rodriguez and Franklin Webb. Together, they went to the island of Isla Nublar to carry out the task. However, apparently, Things become more complex when Claire and Owen find out that there is a big plot at play in the midst of their efforts to save the dinosaurs. Will they be able to save the dinosaurs?
Previously, I want to give a warning for all of you who wants to watch this movie. I don’t wanna spoil anything, but the movie has SO MANY JUMPSCARES. Like… this is WAY DIFFERENT from the previous one. Just in case someone was surprised or couldn’t stand the jumpscares in the film. Even if it’s just a small thing, it’s still a shock. Hmm, really…
Ok, back to the review.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is different from its predecessors. Maybe because its predecessor is still an introduction to the characters and the dinosaur figures in it, so the nuance hasn’t really been built there. But, in this sequel—I’m serious about this, anyway—this film is much better than the previous film. This film is getting better, more exciting, and has a gripping feel to it. There is also a very adventurous feel here, there are many scenes that I personally think can make the audience relate to the story, so they can feel the tension in Isla Nublar. Oh yes, even though the previous jumpscares were quite shocking, they actually have some good points. Through the jumpscare, the atmosphere was tense and mysterious, and… I think this is what a movie about dinosaurs is all about;
The plot is also good. The director can execute the storyline by adding build-up tension well and neatly, so before the film’s climax, the audiences can sit on the edge of their seats, waiting to know what’ll happen next. The twists in this film are also interesting and will completely blow venom 2 pelicula completa en español out your mind. Honestly, maybe this movie about dinosaurs is memorable and good, if not the best.
The downside…. if your heart is not strong with jumpscare, it is recommended not to watch this film. The number of jumpscares in this film is arguably a lot, more than the first Jurassic World film. Then, there are plot holes that are still left there. For example, what happens to the dinosaur protection group after it’s all over? What about the fate of a new character who is very essential in this film? And much more. The only drawback is that, really, actually.
Overall, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a very fun film to fill your school holidays or summer vacations, and is suitable to watch with family, friends, or even girlfriends. While today is a day of gathering and suitable to be filled with togetherness, why not?
Why is today a gathering day? Because… today is Eid Al-Fitr! Chizu would like to wish a happy Eid for those who celebrate. Sorry to be born and inner heart, guys! And, for those who celebrate and those who don’t, happy holiday!
