The Colombian winger has four goals and three assists for Liverpool since January, when he left Porto for England.

Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk is impressed by Luis Díaz’s talent and adaptability to the English club.

Speaking to the Spanish agency EFE, before Liverpool face Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Champions League, the Dutch centre-back highlights that the 25-year-old Colombian international winger, signed in January from FC Porto, “is a very dangerous player”.

“He is capable of creating very dangerous moments with his creativity. He has only been at the club for two months, normally the adaptation period is difficult, but he is extraordinary and a great person”, he points out.

Luis Díaz has started in four of Liverpool’s last six games. He responded with two goals and three assists. In all, he has four goals and three assists in 18 games for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Van Dijk points out that the Colombian “has managed to put his great quality at the service of the team very quickly”.

FC Porto sold Luis Díaz to Liverpool, after two and a half seasons, in January, in exchange for 45 million euros, plus 15 million for goals. The 25-year-old Colombian winger signed 16 goals and five assists in 28 games for the Dragons in the first half of the season.
