Repsol Honda made big changes to the RC213V motorcycle ahead of the 2022 MotoGP. The motorcycle was researched so it wouldn’t be ‘ very Marc Marquez ‘.

The above strategy bore sweet results in the inaugural Qatar MotoGP race at the Losail Circuit, some time ago. Pol Espargaro had led the race for a long time, although in the end he had to settle for finishing third.

On the other hand, Marc Marquez only finished fifth. The six-time MotoGP world champion has again confirmed that he has not yet fully adjusted to the Honda RC213V 2022 season.

So does Pol Espargaro’s achievement make Marc Marquez start to worry that his arch rival will be present in his own team?

Marc Marquez emphasized that since moving up to MotoGP, he was used to having competitive teammates.

“I’ve always had strong team-mates: Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, my brother (Alex Marquez), who was still a rookie but ended up getting two podiums,” explained Marc Marquez.

“During the period with Dani or Jorge I was in maximum condition, now I am on my way back to my best form and try to reach a higher level,” he continued.

It’s good to have a competitive teammate – Marc Marquez even stated the fact that Pol Espargaro is currently competitive is very good for him to raise the level of the game again.

“Pol is very fast. Rivalry in one team is always good to level up. That’s the goal of the team,” Marc Marquez said.

Now Marc Marquez and other 2022 MotoGP racers are waiting to perform in the second series which was held at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok.
